I’m getting close to being ready for my private pilot checkride so I’m already thinking of where I want to go. I have a list of friends that are ready to go anywhere and that will be a blast. It will be interesting to see who’s really serious when I say let’s go.

My very first objective is to take my father for a flight. He’s been into aviation since his Air Force days during Vietnam War. It we will be incredible feeling for both of us I’m sure.

Sometime after that I want to do a fly-in golf trip. I found a few locations within a couple hours but Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain Vermont looks like the perfect location. Here’s a shot from Google satellite showing a nice grass strip within walking distance to the club house.
